iCO Emergency SMS Consent & Messaging Policy

iCO Emergency, a service of Allwater Marine Group LLC, provides user-authorized safety and emergency communications through its mobile application. Users may invite trusted contacts to receive SMS notifications related to location sharing, trip monitoring, scheduled check-ins, account notifications, and emergency alerts. Invited recipients receive a one-time SMS invitation and must explicitly opt in by replying YES or accepting through a secure consent link before receiving ongoing SMS messages. Once enrolled, recipients may receive safety contact confirmations, trip updates, missed check-in alerts, location-sharing notifications, and emergency alerts. Message frequency varies. Msg & Data Rates May Apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for assistance. This program does not include marketing or promotional messages.

How End Users Consent

An iCO Emergency user designates a trusted contact within the iCO Emergency mobile application and provides the contact's mobile phone number. By adding a trusted contact, the iCO Emergency user confirms they are authorized to provide that contact's mobile number. The trusted contact receives a one-time SMS invitation explaining they have been invited to become a safety contact.

The recipient must independently opt in by replying YES to the invitation message or by accepting through a secure iCO Emergency consent link. No ongoing SMS messages are sent until the recipient explicitly provides consent.

After opting in, the recipient may receive safety contact confirmations, scheduled check-in reminders, missed check-in alerts, trip status updates, location-sharing notifications, account notifications, and emergency alerts authorized by the iCO Emergency user.

Consent Workflow, Step by Step

  1. Trusted contact designation: An iCO Emergency user adds a trusted contact inside the iCO Emergency mobile application and provides the contact's mobile phone number. The user confirms they are authorized to provide that number.
  2. One-time invitation SMS: The trusted contact receives a single invitation message explaining they have been invited to become a safety contact. This is the only message sent prior to consent.
  3. Explicit opt-in: The recipient must reply YES to the invitation or accept through a secure iCO Emergency consent link. No recurring SMS messages are sent until the trusted contact explicitly opts in.
  4. Confirmation: After opting in, the recipient receives a confirmation that they are enrolled as a safety contact.
  5. Ongoing notifications: The enrolled contact may then receive safety contact confirmations, scheduled check-in reminders, missed check-in alerts, trip status updates, location-sharing notifications, account notifications, and emergency alerts authorized by the iCO Emergency user.
  6. Opt-out at any time: Recipients can reply STOP to any message to stop receiving SMS notifications, or HELP for assistance.
